I assume you mean MAC address, and not Mac address.

Connect ASIAIR LAN port to your home router with an Ethernet cable. Once the ASIAIR is booted, your router should establish a DHCP connection. Check your router's table and you should find the ASIAIR's MAC address.

Thanks Chen. Yes MAC is correct. With your help I was able to set up Sky Safari to control my Losmandy GM811G Gemini 2 via ASIAir Pro. I wanted to make my life easier with a fixed IP for ASIAir so the Sky Safari setting would be constant. It'll be interesting to see how well they work together.

Hi Jim, many routers make life easy for you if they support a tablet app. You simply need to tap on the connected device and tell it to assign a fixed IP. In fact, that is the only way to access my eero mesh network; eero does not have the more traditional HTTP server for configuration -- just has an iOS app.

I think you will find that the Fixed Address will work just fine. Have fun. I don't use SkySafari, but do have fixed addresses for three of my ASIAIR to make it easy to access the Samba servers on the ASIAIR.

No problem. I retired from Apple back in 2005, so I am used to seeing Mac/MAC misuse even back then (heck, even back in 1988 when I joined the company).
