Astrophysics Equatorial mounts - What Can I expect?

Im really wanting to upgrade to an astrophysics mount but I flat out refuse to use a PC.
The only way I will even consider making such a purchase is if I can use the mount with Asi Air Plus/Pro.
I know there are some indy drivers available but some are beta and some are for old CP2 mounts.

I need cp3, cp4 or cp5 compatibility. I am looking at AP 900, 1100,1200, and Mach 2 options

Does anyone here use any of these mounts? What are the shortfalls, what needs to still be improved or developed? This is completely dictating if I will buy and AP or not.

The ASIair Pro works well in my experience of one year with the Mach2 and 9 months with the ASIair Pro. I do not use a electronic Focuser nor Filter wheel, I have used a ASI 2600 MC camera, a ASI 294MC camera and a ASI 740mm for guiding.

Everything I have used the ASIair Pro to do has worked well with one exception. And to this point the one issue is the lack of ability to set the guide speed of the hand controller to 0.5x Siderial to Mach the mount. Or the lack of guide rate settings in the ASIair to set the guide speed to 1.0x Siderial to Mach the mount.

It is conceivable that it is in either one, hidden in the documents but if it is I have not yet found that capability.

I am impressed with the progress the ZWO team of programmers have made, improving the ASI air capabilities. They have also listened to customer feedback and included customer suggestions in the product. It’s possible they may incorporate improved compatibility with the A-p mounts.
