Focussing with ASIAIR via Canon EOS R slow

I am using ASIAIR to control my Canon EOS R. When in focus mode it takes a few seconds time to load each of the images, even with a small exposure time of, e.g. 0.5sec. This makes focussing difficult and time consuming. Back in pre-ASIAIR times, I used the EOS R on a Stellarmate computer, and got an image every 0.5sec, similarly when I use a ASI 6200MM on the ASIAIR.

So I hope that maybe there is some setting of the EOS R which can reduce the time to load the image to the ASIAIR. Any ideas are welcome

You can first reset your EOS R setting to factory default state and refer to the below DSLR setting tips:

I have reset the camera. A canon EOS R can only work in manual OR bulb mode. Bulb mode is for long exposures and thats what I have set. Image format is RAW (which implies largest format). Power savings are off. Bracketing is off (and it is off by default in bulb mode). Yet there is no change, frame rate in focus mode is about 0.3, so one image every 3 sec.

Does anyone else have more success (i.e. a better frame rate) in focus mode with the EOS R(a) ?
