elpajare I know that it is recommended that it be between 4 or 5 steps, but where can I see the number of steps that Asiair does when changing the calibration step?
Unless you have a precision mount, you want it to take more than 4 steps. Somewhere between 12 and 20 would be sufficient.
You can simply look at the screen when it is calibrating, following the step count that is displayed. PHD2 will try to move the guide star by 25 pixels before reversing direction.
If it takes too many steps to finish the 25 pixels, your Calibration Steps duration in the Guide Setting window is too short. If it takes fewer than 12 steps, the Calibration Steps duration is too long.
You can also find the history of the guide calibration in your PHD2 log that is saved to the USB drive (or the microSD card, if you do not have a USB drive) after ASIAIR finishes an AutoRun sequence.
