Hi Folks. So I've finally gotten using the ASI Air down to an (almost) science. My last question remains...is that the images that are stored on the ASIAir itself are FIT file types. However I also get CR1 file types on my Camera's SD card. (I use a canon DSLR so it saves images on the camera's sd card as CR1 type). Is there any preference which files you work with? I tried opening up one of the FIT files and it just looks like an over exposed mess.. is this normal? Is there special software I should get to view the FIT files?
Because I want to preview the images before I stack them, I'd need a way to view all of the FIT file types... Right now I just use my CR1 files and don't have any issues but just curious if there's a reason if I should use the ASI's file images?
