I am new to this device. I'm at the embarrassing level. I am struggling with the camera control features. I have it set up OK with my camera and I can take a shot and it shows the shot on my phone. However, I have not been able to figure out how to see the live view on my phone.

Are you familiar with the various "Modes".

"Preview Mode" gives you the current view of your object although it has limited exposure settings.
"Live Mode" allows you to stack multiple images to get an enhanced view.

John, Thanks for your response. The trouble I'm having is that when I tap on Preview Mode it remains on the last photo I took. My understanding is that when I hit Preview it should go to a live view with a lot of camera control options around the perimeter. That is not happening for me. What I see is the last photo that I took, not the live view.

The ASIAIR does not have a Live mode in that sense. The closest thing it’s got is a cropped video mode.

Explain the process you are going through to get an object. If you start on the "Preview" mode, then select an object from the Catalog and execute a "GoTo", once the ASIAIR goes to the object and plate solves it to center it, the ASIAIR should come back to the Preview screen with the object centered on the screen. To get more images of the object you need to press the big white button to get another image or you can set of "Preview" mode to continuously take images based on the current exposure setting. This can be set up in "Main Camera" > "Advanced" settings section > "Continuous preview" button.
