I recently purchased the ZWO ASI120MC.
On my first night out, I had significant problems. When attempting to use the camera, my computer became very slow. At one point, it "hard froze". I have never had this happen before. I had to press the power button to hard shutdown my machine. I have a multitude of astro imaging cameras and have never had this happen.
On the next day, I attempted to use the camera again. My computer again became sluggish, and the video I captured shows artifacts that look like bad "signals".
Is it possible I have a bad camera? I am running Windows 7 with quad core and 4gb ram.
I am a very experienced amateur astrophotography as well as computer scientist, so I know it is not my computer or lack of knowledge on using astro cameras.
Below is a link to the video - I was imaging the sun, and yes, I was using a proper solar filter. I had imaged the sun for about an hour prior to using this camera with both a DSLR and a Celestron NexImage 5 and had no problems.

Anyone else having problems with this camera and their computer becoming unresponsive?
