I have a very similar situation with the (relatively) new StarGO2 controller from Avalon. The "problem" is that the SG2 is based on a nice RaspberryPi4B, which runs its own local INDI server, but does not provide a sophisticated INDI client (yet). I do not know, if this is the same issue with the 10micron, but from the looks it "sounds" like it.
The SG2 provides a local SkySafari INDI driver on port 9624 that can be access by the ASIAIR with the LX200 Basic setting. It also uses a native driver accessible on port 7624. The latter, however, cannot be accessed by an external INDI server, but only by the SG2 internal one.
The beauty of INDI is, that it can handle multiple INDI servers, locally and remotely, in a so-called daisy-chain configuration. E.g. StellarMate (i.e. KStar/EKOS) can access multiple INDI servers in this configuration (not very stable, though).
ASIAIR does not support this. Kind of obvious, because this would "extend" their eco-system potentially.
I still prefer ASIAIR over StellarMate. Therefore, I hope that the affected mount manufactures come up with fully fledged INDI drivers on port 9624.
