treaves I now need to figure out how to get the Ekos/INDI focuser module to see that value as 0 instead of 34350...
You do not want to set it to 0. The EAF will not move outside the range of 0 to 65535. (Which is odd, since solving for number residues is called the "Chinese Remainder Theorem" in Number Theory today; see here for Sun-tzu's diagrams for modulo arithmetic https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chinese_remainder_theorem .)
After you have focused the OTA (either by loosening the EAF flexible coupling and focusing manually, or by repeatedly resetting the range of the EAF until you are finally in focus), keep the EAF value away from zero, and away from 65535 (the other limit). Somewhere midway is good.
You can set the EAF value of the "current" position to any number by resetting/editing it with a number of tools, including ASICAP (free from ZWO, runs on both Windows and macOS).
