I'm considering upgrading an older Losmandy G11 mount with the On-Step go-to system (https://instein.eu/) for use when doing visual astronomy. I've been using my ASIAir Pro for go-to using a different mount (SkyWatcher EQ-6R Pro) when doing AP, but would like to reduce my equipment down to a single mount for both AP and visual, and my preference is the Losmandy mount. I am assuming the On-Step upgrade would replace my existing Losmandy 492 controller board, which I'm pretty sure I tried getting to communicate with the AAP and was could not seem to make that work. Does anyone know if the ASIAir Pro can communicate with the On-Step system? I suppose that would be mainly for PA and guiding, as I would no longer "need" to use the AAP's go-to function (although I would happily continue to use it if it works). Thanks for any information.
