ipad Mini 2 with Air Plus?

Will my ipad Mini 2 work with the new Air Plus, or will it be too slow?
Anyone with this experience, or with a prediction?

I tried it with a mini 2 and it does not work. Not because of the speed, but al lot of functionality in the app is not working, there are no objects loading into the object list, so goto commands are not possible. I ended up using a newer ipad or my iphone.

I think it it caused by teh old IOS on the ipad mini, that does not work with the asiair app correctly
