After months of poor weather there has recently been a few nights of clear moonless skies here in New England. I was hoping to image multiple targets all night using the Plan mode. The times I had used the Plan mode earlier, I had no problems, and found it to be one of the best features of the ASIAIR. Unfortunately recently at various times during a Plan session it seems that the AISAIR disconnects. I have found my Plan stopped in the middle of an image, or more often once it finishes one target and is then supposed to move to the next target. From my trouble shooting so far I know the problem is NOT, a bad cable, or poor connection, my power source, or my OS ( I had the same problem when using my back up OS card ). My mount is an Ioptron CEM25EC which other wise has played well with the ASIAIR........ When this occurs if I try to send the mount to the Home Position I get a "failed operation" message. At that point I need to "hard" turn off and then back on my ASIAIR to reset it, and regain a connection to it. I also am using the latest ASIAIR 1.7 Firm wear ( not the new Beta 1.8 ).
This problem also occurs if I use the ASIAIR as a hot spot, or even if I am hard wired via Ethernet cable to my home WiFi. I'm wondering if anyone else has had similar issues. Needless to say this is a very aggravating issue given the few clear nights we get to take advantage.
