I have the same problem controlling an ASI camera with a custom software on python and openCV. In this case the use of the SDK is a must but the included library libASICamera2.dylib1.26 is not compatible with the architecture of the Apple M1 that is just the computer I got. Having in mind that the new architecture of Apple is going to be pervasive very fast I encourage ZWO to deploy a new library compatible with arme64e as soon as possible. Many of us are waiting anxiously for the solution.

I was just looking into this today to see if I could get ZWO cameras working on Windows on Arm on our new Windows 11 Arm dev kit released today. We have a class driver for the Image class you're using (same class GUID as in your .inf), so I'd love to have a thread with someone to sort out if we need to add something or make changes to avoid requiring a driver just for Windows. In the meantime (things like that can take a while) if you need support for an Arm64 version of your driver, I know the folks who can help.

I was interested in seeing how much could run on an Arm64 device, but am blocked by the camera driver, like many others here.

We have x64 emulation, but it is not for Windows drivers, only for applications and user-mode pseudo-driver stuff like ASCOM.

I got this working by compiling an arm64 version of the generic Cypress ez-usb driver CyUsb3.sys from their dev kit. I used Visual Studio Community 2022 and the latest windows driver kit. I then renamed the arm64 CyUsb3.sys binary to ASICAMUSB3.sys and updated the .inf file to add NTarm64 sections wherever there are NTamd64 sections. This updated driver needs to be installed unsigned of course. I hope ZWO releases a signed driver including this arm64 target soon.

mfzwofsq Thank you very much for providing a method for installing ASI camera drivers on M1. I have encountered the following problem and would like to ask for your help.

My operating system is Windows 11, and the chip is Apple's M1, as shown in the following figure

Firstly, I disabled Windows' digital signatures requirement.

Then, I downloaded the two files you provided to my computer.

When I insert my ASI183MC into the computer, the Device Manager displays that ASI183MC has no driver installed. I used the two files you provided to update the driver for it. The results are shown in the following figure

The above image shows that Windows cannot install ASI183MC. The meaning of the following small characters is: Windows cannot find a suitable driver for your device.

I have digitally signed the two files you provided and made them as an installation package. After installing it, the driver remains invalid.

The following file is the installation package I packaged. Can you help me see what the reason is?
