ASI174MM stopped working on Pi3/4.

I've been a happy ASI17MM user for several years. I put it onto a RaspberryPi3 sometime ago and used the allsky package on github quite successfully. Recently it stopped allowing for exposures beyond 1s. It does NOT seem to be related to the allsky package as the team has done a through job of debugging - https://github.com/thomasjacquin/allsky/issues/650
The camera works great on Win10 in firecapture beyond 1s and does not seem to be related to the Pi Hardware or installation / image.

maphilli14 when you open a console on the pi and type

dmesg -w

you'll see a lot of text scroll by. Those are the boot messages of the pi. When the text stops scrolling you can plug in the camera. Do you then see new text appearing?

Press CTRL-c to quit dmesg.

I'm happy to try an older version but not sure what is still available and how to best overwrite existing/newer libraries?!

V1.14 SDK is too old, please try the new version.

The new one did not work, it fails to go beyond 1,000ms exposures, but only on linux. On windows I have the full range of exposures with no issues on the 174. The linux drivers and or sdk works for the 290 but not the 174.

Do I need to install opencv? It's a lengthy installation and wanted to confirm it's needed before putting in the work! :\
