Does ASIAIR Plus require inline hand controller for Celestron CPC 1100?

Hi folks,

My CPC 1100 hand controller (or possibly the board it connects to) malfunctions in cold weather. I have no problems using NexRemote connected to the 8-pin RJ45 PC port via USB to RS232 connector. I have not tried the ’autoguide’ port.

Can i use this with the ASI AIR or will it require the hand controller or functional AUX port?
