notty I have the 183MC pro as well but so far I have not had this problem with that camera. However recently I have started to have this issue with my 290mini guide camera. The solution is as you have mentioned. Fortunately for me I have not had a disconnect problem with either of my cameras while imaging either in Autorun or Plan mode. However after making sure I didn't have a cable or connection problem I continue to often get a mount disconnect failure during Plan mode.
There just seems to be way too many different sort of disconnect failures for me to not believe there is a bug in the FW. I have sent several logs to ZWO regarding my Mount disconnect failures but so far no response. However if you could I would suggest that you send any logs you could as well. Maybe if enough of us do that we will get some response. Al
