More options for processing image in ASI Deep Stack / ASI Studio

Are there any enhancements in the works to add more processing controls in ASI Studio/ ASI Deep Stack ?
I import the Jpeg file created with Deep Stack into Affinity Photo for post processing - works very well. But it would be nice to have additional controls other than brightness/contrast/saturation prior to saving the file in Deep Stack
The attached Jpeg file was created in Deep Stack then processed further in Affinity Photo

Great image.

Are you saving the stacked image from ASI Deep Stack as a JPEG? If yes, why not save it as a .FITS. Gives you a better image to work with. Affinity will process .FITS files although you might have to color correct it first.

johnpd Yes sir - I have tried multiple options
1) imported the ASI Deep Stack .Fits into Affinity - when doing so, the ASI 294MC Pro OSC data is washed out and requires a large amount of processing. The image still has a heavy red tint unless I do multiple layers of processing. I normally shoot with the Optolong L-extreme filter for Nebulas ( such as the image above ). When I use the ASI Deep Stack Jpeg image in Affinity Photo, I am able to process the image and get a result such as the image above
2) I normally use the Stacking Feature in Affinity Photo - importing the individual .Fit files created in the ASI Air, but get the same affect - reddish tint
3) I tried the Affinity Photo Stacking Feature with the stacked .Fits file created in ASI Deep Stack - but the image turns out horrible
4) Just by accident - I tried importing the Jpeg file created by the Deep Stack into Affinity and got the image shown above. Wow ! what a difference.

So....with all that being said, I thought it would be an awesome for ASI Deep Stack to provide the option to create a High Resolution Jpeg that could be processed in almost every image editing software, Photo Shop, Affinity, etc.

I have the ASI533MC Pro and end up with a greenish tint image when I bring it into Affinity. Green is a more normal tint as there are two green pixels and one red and one blue in each one shot pixel group. Possibly the filter is causing the red tint on yours. I don't know why Affinity is not interpreting the proper Bayer pattern for mine, but it is easy to fix it. I like using the Color Balance option, but you have to select the "Shadows" "Tonal Range" not "Midtones" and check "Preserve Luminosity". That seems to work better than "White Balance".

That image is very good. It would be better if they gave you a .TIFF option instead of a .JPG. I have the iOS version of Affinity on my iPad and played with the .JPG image that ends up on the iPad when saving a Live Stack image. I actually got some great results processing some of those that images using the Affinity iPad. Don't know why.

I wish the ZWO FITS Viewer would give you an option to save what it comes up with as a .TIFF. It does a good job in stretching the image.

Thank you for the info on Color Balance Option - I will give that a try.

That would be a great option for ASI Studio Deep Stack to save the image as a .Tiff file

Plus 1 for this feature, using an L-Pro filter the final stretched image has excellent colours on screen but saving the unstretched file as Tiff and stretching levels in Photoshop results in a very red tint and unusable.
I like everything else about Deep Stack especially the processing speed but saving as jpeg is a severe limitation.

Adrian - agreed. I prefer saving in Tiff, but I also get the same very red tint when imported into Affinity Photo. Unless I save it in jpeg......which is very limited in post processing.
