Hi,
last night, I used the ASIair Plus and as usual, I put a USB inside to save my files. I always prefer to save externally.
However, something strange happened last night, and it cost me 2h30 of lost data, nowhere to be found.
Let me explain.
Last night, my plan was to do this :
1 hour of RGB (60 * 60 sec subs) on the heart nebula (IC1805)
1h00 (12 * 300 sec subs) of Optolong L-Extreme on the heart nebula (IC1805)
4h or more (++ * 300 sec subs) of Optolong L-Extreme on the flamming star nebula (IC405)
Optolong L-Extreme flats and RGB flats
When I did the heart nebula, everything seemed fine until this morning when I plugged my USB inside my computer. No files were inside the "IC1805" folder. In fact, I checked all the folders, nothing appeared. The first thing I looked at was the Log file : strangely, the RGB and L-Extreme light frames appeared in the log document. After that, I told myself "Oh, that's strange but I will try to put the USB inside the ASIair Plus one more time to see if the files are there (by using image management)". Then, I saw the files. They were there. So, I tried to reboot the ASIair Plus to see if they would still be there. Sadly, they were not there anymore... Seems like a strange bug... and I looked in several forums, a few people had this issue...
Something even more surprising is that the flats and the flamming star IC405 light frames were saved to the USB and I can access to them in my computer...
Since 10am until 5pm, I tried several things to solve my issue such as downloading Disk Drill and Wondershare Recover it to find a way to recover the lost files. I also checked every folder possible in Autorun and no sign of the heart nebula files were there. I also checked the EMMC. Nothing there.
I don't want to waste your time.
However, if you could only provide me an explanation of this bug or a solution, that would make my day much better!
