Noise(?) in video output

Hello Sam, can you advise on the two frames I have attached? They show a short white line that moves up and down the frame when viewed on the laptop screen and they are recorded on the avi video. This occurs on about 3-5% of the frmaes and shows up in the image after processing. Presumably this should not occur.

can you show the raw frame before stacking?

is it a hot pixel?and its there after stacking because the sun's a little movement?

Sam, the two images are raw frames. I extracted them from the avi file. They are not stacked. I imagine as the 'noise' is in the form of a horizontal line that a number of adjacent pixels are involved.

does it help if you turn the "USB Traffice" to a resonable low value like 70-80?

Sam, I am away from home until next week. I will check value of USB traffic when I get back, but I think it is a low value already (50%).

is it only happen when do solar imaing or always there even play with the all sky lens?

Sam, When I first received the camera I tested it indoors with the all sky lens and saw the horizontal line moving up and down the screen.

I currently have the USB traffic set at the lowest setting - 40 I think in Firecapture.

I will try another video of the sun asap, but the forecast is not good here for a few days!

I think you just need to test in door with the lens if the camera has such problem

Sam, I have done some imaging with the camera and it seems to be fine. I have downloaded the latest versions of Firecapture and Java (kept getting Java error messages). USB traffic is at 40, the lowest setting. Latest images very good.
