I was wondering if someone could help me out with a problem I am having. I am new to guiding and have purchased a ZWO 120MC camera with an ST4 port to guide my new ZEQ-25 mount. I need help understanding the drivers required for the setup. I have installed the latest ASCOM platform, the 120MC ASCOM driver, ASCOM SDK from ZWO, the ASCOM ST4 driver, and PHD.
I would like to connect the camera to the PC via USB and use the ST4 port on the camera to drive the mount.
When I try to use the camera as an ASCOM (late) from the drop down in PHD, it seems to crash PHD. It does however allow me to choose "on camera" for the mount and it connects fine.
I can connect using the Windows WDM setting and the camera works great, but then cannot use the "on camera" setting for the mount because it cannot connect to the mount.
My work around has been to use the WDM setting and a GPUSB to drive the ST4 which works, but the GPUSB is for my other mount and would prefer not to use this method.
So the big question is, what should I need to install to get the camera to work properly and drive the mount through it's ST4 port? Can I use the WDM setting and still use the on camera ST4 port to avoid PHD crashing?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
