Connecting Canon RP to ASIAIR PRO via USB 3.0 Cable

I can not connect my new Canon RP to my ASIAIR PRO using a USB C to USB A 3.0 cable. According to Canon, only a USB C to USB C cable will work to connect the camera to a laptop/computer/tablet. The ASIAIR PRO does not have a USB C slot. Is there an alternative way to connect the camera to the AsiAir?

You should be able to use a USB C to USB A cable to connect to the ASIAIR PRO. I have connected my Canon RP to my computer using that cable with no issues.

I just updated the firmware of my ASIAIR PRO and the AsiAir app (both IOS version on my iPad and android version running through BlueStacks on a Windows 10 laptop) and it works like a charm using a USB C to USB A 3.0 cable. . However, the programs in ASIStudio won't connect to the Canon RP. Strange. I have the latest version of ASI Studio on both my MacBook Air and on my Windows 10 laptop. Very weird.
