I noticed when using the ASIAIR Pro Live stacking mode that satellite tracks persist for much longer than I would expect if each new frame is being averaged with past and future frames. For example, last night during a capture session for M81 using 1-minute subs for a total of 52 frames, there were satellite tracks in frames 15 and 21, yet the tracks persisted through the last frame (52) of the stacked image.
My question is shouldn’t the satellite tracks have been fully averaged out after a few frames or at least after another 30 frames were added to the stack? Or am I missing something with how stacking algorithms work? The satellite tracks did grow dimmer toward the end, but one of them was still very prominent. I don’t see any settings in ASIAIR app. that might resolve this issue.
