I have a Star Adventurer 2i and it can only be controlled in the RA. In testing when I use either Plan or Goto the target DEC is always shown as 00:00:00. Fine, the AA+ cannot control DEC on the SA2i. I am looking to stretch the functionality of the SA2i with the ASIAIR. I want to be able to run a Plan without human intervention after I have achieved PA and plate solved my mount. Before plate solving but after PA I would rotate my scope to the correct DEC for my target to be viewed later. I know when the Plan is executed later, that the AA+ will set the targets DEC to 00:00:00 as it cannot control the DEC on the SA2i. I also know when the correct RA angle is reached that the AA+ will perform a plate solve and try to center. I am expecting there to be some degree of error at this point and wonder how this will be handled.
Does the centering have to be perfect? (Remember the goto being executed was basically ignoring DEC)
If it is not perfect, will human intervention be required?
I want the plan to run regardless of potential errors without human intervention. (i.e. I want to be snug in my bed)
