c131frdave Will the ZWO CS-type f/2 lens that comes with the 1/3" planetary cameras screw on to the 290mini camera?
Movie camera C lenses have a flange with a 1" 32TPI thread, with a flange focal length of 17.526 mm (close enough to 17.5mm). A CS lens has the same thread, but with a flange focal length that is 5mm shorter (12.526mm).
The ZWO mini cameras come with adapter rings that thread into the camera. Just check the box your camera came in for these adapters (black metal threaded rings) to see if any of the adapters has a 1" 32TPI thread. Included should also be a 5mm 1"thread to 1" thread spacer for use with C lenses. With a CS lens, don't add the extra 5mm spacer.
The connection diagrams should be in the ZWO ASI290 mini camera specs web page.
BTW, don't use the ZWO lenses for anything serious. They are low-resolution junk. For experiments, I use Fujinon C lenses (I have the HF16HA-1S, HF25HA-1S and a HF35HA-1S, with spot size of some 6µm), and a Raspberry Pi camera lens for a cheap-and-dirty all sky camera.
