Surprisingly M42x1 lens fits absolutely into camera thread (at least mine) for the whole lenght of the thread. But I could not reach infinity so I placed manual filterwheel between camera and lens. I have lacerta manual filterwheel. Now manual lens M42x1 thread does not fit totally into filterwhell thread but It goes to the half way (2 revolutions at least) si I think it will not fall out...
If you have MC camera, I would use M42x1 macro circle (circles) to reach infinity - this should work perfectly - as I mentioned at the start, M42x1 lens goes through the whole camera thread. Interesting, maybe camera thread is somewhere about M42x0,85 - fits both into T2 and to tohe M42x1.
