Hello, i hope i can get some advice, im loosing my nerves with this camera, i gonna throw it trough the window

i bought the camera brand new, its a few months old now (around 3) and since the second week it was been really annoying because it works sometimes and sometimes dont (Exposure failure). It is a totally random issue because sometimes it works perfectly and the morning the camera is dead.

the very first time this happened, i wasnt able to take any fotos with it, not even dark frames, and after two days, it began to work again... after a few days, this "exposure failure" error happened again, so i contacted the reseller, i handend the camera to them for checking and after two weeks they said the camera is working perfectly that they didnt found anything abnormal (maybe they just checked it one time and not exhaustively?) so i got it back... and after a few foto sessions, it died again:

it doesnt matter which cables i use (i tried several diferents cables) the connections are thight so no lose cables or whatsoever. im using a proper power supply for it, and sometimes powering via asiair it, but this is irrelevant because it wont work when it comes to that state. alls the drivers and softwares are the last versions availabe. Also it doesnt matter how i connect to the camera (i used Android tablets, apple tablets, Asiair plus software with last firmware and even the asistudio software) it wont budge. The cooling fan can be turned on and off, but ive noticed, that when the "exposure failure" error appears, the Asiair software doesnt show the correct temperature of the sensor. Lets say, i set the camera temperature in -10.0 C°, but theres no change in the temp. display in asiair plus (lower left corner) it just shows the ambient temperature and to the right theres a percentage number that changes gradually from 0% to 100%, but the temperature stays the same, even with the cooling fann full throttle, so it is unclear if it is cooling or not. the onlyt thing i only know is that i had problems with this camera since the very beginning.

The only solution until now its seems to leave the camera a few days whitout using it, and somehow magically it begins to work again, but thats really BS**T, the camera has to work when i need it. theres little info about this online, and im not wiling to send the camera everytime to repair, risking to be really damaged in the process. ITS VERY DISSAPOINTING

Hello, thanks for your answer and concern. I already contacted the dealer here to deal with it. The problem is really random, the camera works fine a few days in a row, and then suddenly it stops working properly, it says Exposure Failure. and its a brick. after a few days it slowly reacts and do just crazy stuff. i already sended back once to the dealer to check it and they didnt found anything abnormal. so i got it back, and now the problem came by the third time. I double checked all cables, tried different tablets, softwares (Last version of ASIAIR APP, ASISTUDIO, Sharp CAP etc) ... no avail.

what kind of screenshoots you should i share with you? Today, the camera "woke up" and i did this Dark Frames. theyre not dark at all. its clear that the camera is not working properly.

im really upset, because this issues has been going around a few nows now... Today i asked the Dealer to give me a new replacement, and that they need to sort this issue directly with ZWO, its not my bussiness. you now, i dont want to wait any longer. when you buy smth the dealer gives you a 10 day period of time to make the payment, but we as customers we need to wait for weeks to get our gear on line. Thats just not right for a new camera.

Please also tell us your email address after you upload the log, our tech will analyze the reason for exposure failure, thank you.

hello! i did both, i took dark frames using the telescope (cap on) and also with the camera alone (dettached from the telescope (Using the cap that comes with the camera) to prevent light touching the sensor.

i wrote an email to ZWO USA and the told me following:

Hi Esteban
if you are struggling with this it could be the cable between the sensor and mainboard is intermittent. There is nothing you can do and the camera should be exchanged. The key to this issue is the loss of temperature reporting from the sensor. Please ask your dealer to change as Dead on Arrival as this occured during the first 30 days they can refer to me if they need confirmation - you can show them this email "

so now im waiting for a replacement Camera, i hope it will work properly. To be honest, there is few information about this issue online. and as i said before, i tried several softwares (including Asistudio) and several ports and cables, with the same result "exposure Failure"
