Can you take photos in a test mode without a mount connected?

I am testing some things with my camera and a flat generator and I want to make some test photos using my ASIAir Plus in a test setup mode. It is not clear to me that this is possible because when I make a plan the ASIAir wants me to connect to a mount. I'm in my office and my mount is outside. I would prefer to not have to connect to a mount to test my setup. Is this possible with the ASIAir or do I have to have it connect to a mount?

Try the mount simulator, it's called Demo interface in the mount list.

Yes. Instead of Plan mode use the Autorun.
