Good question. I have a Celestron 8-inch ED on the Evolution mount, so a normal mount for an SCT. Having the camera straight back is something that works, but it limits the altitude to about 60 deg due to clearance on the bottom between the camera and the mount. This OTA and camera will be moved to my new G8 eg losmandy, for serious astrophotography. In the meantime, I want to use it on the SCT mount when taking it out for outreach. This is driven by the fact it has star sense on it, so it can really do an excellent job of getting aligned in light pollution. Then with my 294 and the magic of stacking, we can use EAA to show the public targets I could never locate due to a lack of hopping stars. With a diagonal, I still cannot go to azimuth, but the limit is more like 75 deg.
