Go To no longer works after update to firmware 1.9.1(9.97)

I have never had an issue with the go to function between my ASIAIR Pro and CEM 40 mount. That is until tonight after the 1.9.1(9.97) firmware update. Right after the update, go to was unusable. I had trouble with the telescope going far, away from the NCP while polar aligning. Once I achieved polar alignment, I did a go to to Vega. It never came close and was all over the sky trying to center the star. Using the ASIAIR Pro I told the mount to go to the home position. It was way off. I did an alignment of the Zero Position, then synced the mount with the ASIAIR Pro, tried another go to to Vega and again it didn't come close. I sent it to the home position (Zero Position) and again it didn't come close. Everything worked fine last night without any hitches until I did the firmware update. Anyone have any thoughts/suggestions? Many thanks for looking at this.

I don’t have a solution. Frustratingly, this has happened to me too on several occasions and on previous firmware versions.

After a lot of wasted time, I finally got the CEM 40 Go To to move to the correct coordinates from the ASIAIR PRO. I shut the entire system down enough times that I stopped counting to no avail. I can't remember the circumstance where this occurred but only the mount shut down from inside the app while all the other equipment remained connected. I restarted the mount from inside the app manually and bingo...Go To worked again. I shut the system down again and started up as normal and found the Go To no longer worked. I shut the mount down and reopened it from inside the app....Go To works! There's no rhyme or reason for this to happen but at least it works, again. Walter T, don't know if this crazy solution will help you.

Thanks. It has happened randomly for me, so I’ll try this merging next time it happens.

Are you connecting your mounts through a USB hub? That’s a must with the CEM40.

that being said…

There’s something terribly wrong with the update. Mine completely bricked after the update. It gets to 83% of installing firmware and craps out. It’s useless currently and I have a bunch of clear nights coming. Just ordered a NUC and I’m furiously learning NINA.

Iwizzit, I've never connected the CEM 40 through a USB hub to the ASIAIR Pro; they are directly connected in my system. I've been doing that for the past 2+ years and have never had a problem so not sure what to make of that. After running fine last night, tonight the ASIAIR Pro can't connect to the internet. I have used NINA before and love it but ran it off of a PC, which is a PITA. I should look into a NUC. Thanks for that thought.

My CEM40 (the new model) which I purchased last year also requires the USB hub, otherwise it will not connect to my ASIAIR Pro.
