I have only had this camera for a little over a month and at focal lengths around 400mm I have not had any issues. Once I jumped up to about 1300mm I was seeing what looked like uniform star trails even with short exposures of 2 seconds and with guiding at .5 arc-sec. After a lot of trial and error I found I could eliminate the trails by just turning the cooler off. Without the fan running stars were pin-point. Some searching online and I found out quickly that this is not an uncommon issue. Was even more evident when a satellite crossed the field of view and instead of a perfect straight line you could see a very uniform oscillation in the trail.
Coming from the asi533MC pro I never had this issue all the way up to 2000mm focal lengths. Is there a replacement option for this fan since the camera becomes unusable at higher focal lengths. Attached screenshot of star trails with satellite track.
