ASIAir 9.97 firmware breaks connection with iOptron CEM40g

I've got an ASIAir with an iOptron CEM40. Everything was working fine till I updated to the 9.97 firmware. It stopped connecting to the mount, giving me the "connect via usb hub" error. I previously had my mount plugged into the built-in usb hub on my ASI2600MC. Tried multiple connecting schemas to no avail. I finally got it working by by downgrading to the 9.53 version of the firmware.
Off a whim, I decided to upgrade to 9.97 again today, as prompted by the ASIAir mobile app, and again, it stopped connecting to the mount.
This must be a known-issue with the current version of the firmware. I have no way of downgrading ASIAir on my iOS device, and can only use ASIAir on my tablet.
ZWO, please address this issue, or at least allow us to use older versions of AIRAir on our iOS devices.

Connection Failed

Ensure the mount is connected with the serial cable and the baud is correct
if using G series of newest iOptron mounts, please connect ASIAIR via a USB hub.

I have GEM 45 and also faced the same issue. For me it keeps on disconnecting. Sometimes while slewing, it doesn’t stop and had to stop via hand controller. I had it working well with USB Hub prior to the update. I recently bought ASI 2600 MC and tried connecting via on board USB hub, still the same issue. During Polar Alignment it couldn’t read how much the mount had rotated and kept on going.

Please provide a fix.

Not good. The CEM40 and GEM45 (new versions) have the same mount designation in the app so it is understandable that what messes up one will mess up the other. I am sitting on F/W v9.53 and app v1.90 until this gets sorted out.
