Firware update: a new ZWO error !!!!

I have installed the new firmware ... impossible to connect my CGEM mount.
It is possible to reset the firmware ... but in this case impossible to bypass the firmware update

With my Celestron mount, when the firmware is updated, I lost one night to find the way to connect
it to the ASIAIR. With the last version, I will connect all elements to a USB Pegasus hub, switch on all things except ASIair & connect the output hub to the Asiair & switch On the Asiair. If I do differently, the Asiair does not detect the CGEM mount. Now, there is an issue in this way.

There is surely an issue in your simulator model for the Celestron mount. Perhaps, it will be necessary that you test your product with a true mount.

The firmware was updated from 8.53 to 9.97.

After one night, I have found a solution: now, I connect directly the Hand controller output micro USB to the Asiair (with the old version, it was not OK).

Now, it is Ok for the mount recognition, I have a new issue with the goto, it is very very slow with fourth auto-centering.
I have verified my HC informations, all seems OK, I have success some targets after waiting ten minutes

So I have tried to re-install the older version (8.53) of the firmware, it is done but when I open the Asiair window, I could not by passed the installation, the button "not started" is not functionnal. I was obligated to do the update.

One reason of the Asiair choice is not to live the windows update issues ... and I meet the same problems. The update is forced & I lost night to find solutions to new issues ...

You could update FW to 997,and reproduce the problem，and submit log，then the developer will check the log，thank you！

Hello @Walf@ZWO#58149 , I have tried tonight to do that but when I look on the external hard disk connected to the Asiair, I have not log file for today. I look the other old files, they contain only log about plan or live session. There is no informations about the devices boot. Could you give me the good way to send the good informations.

Note: I have an Asiair Plus, it seems a little bit different from the Asiair pro in the update.

The log of plan will store in external disk，but more detail log will not，you could submit log before shutdown air，if you shut down ，the log will lost。

I have submit the log through the asiair feedback form. I have received the email. I have noted this post title in the feedback message. It could be interesting that a reference number is associated to the feedback. In this case, if this reference has existed, I could give you the reference number here and you could link the informations more quickly together.

I have found some documentations about the "Nexstar+" Celestron hand controller. Perphaps, could you transmit to the support

It's look like the issue I have got last year with Ekos & Stellarmate Raspbian OS. I meet an issue of serial COM port number ... the connection was OK if you connect the device always on the same port. Like this, the port number give by the soft is always the same? On my computer, the mount is connected to the serial COM 3.

I will submit tonight the log file through the Asiair interface.

@Walf@ZWO I have made a new test:

I connect all my elements (ZWO cameras, EAF, filter,...) to the Pegasus hub except the CGEM ii Mount. All is switch on except Asiair. I switch on the mount, initialize it without the micro-usb link. Hence, I connect the output of the Pegasus hub to the USB 3.0 Asiair port. I put the USB link between the CGEM ii hand controller & the Asiair. The Asiair is always switch Off.

I switch ON the Asiair, open the Android tablet, the setup is OK, all devices are recognized by the Asiair. I could switch off & switch on again the mount.

If I switched off the Mount, and I disconnect the HC USB link from the Asiair & I connect it to the Pegasus Hub, I switch ON the mount in the Asiair user interface, it's OK. So for me, the issue come from a COM number issue. I think that the CGEM HC use old circuit, and the COM number are fixed (3 & 5 for me) and if the COM value is different, it generates unconnected state.

I have not received answer about this issue. Thanks for your reply.
