Hi all
Sorry if this has been covered elsewhere, couldn't find a thread...
I've been imaging for some time with an ASI 071 MC Pro and although very pleased with the performance, I've been reading a number of threads over time which bang on about how much better Mono imaging is. Mono imaging may give better results, but there is more engineering and optical complexity if imaging with filters ... which I don't think I can be bothered with. However, I recently read a thread which suggested combining L frames from a Mono camera with RGB frames from the ASO 071, in DSS, to produce a combined shot as though I had used a Mono camera with filters.
Q1: Is that possible ? I've never thought of doing this, perhaps as I don't have the extra camera !
Q2: If using a 2 camera solution would work, what is the Mono equivalent of the ASI 071 MC Pro ?
many thanks!
