Since I was having a go at M82 I thought I'd turn the ZWO ASI120MM on M81. Using the C8 at f2.5 (using my patent 0.5 reducer + extension tube combo : ) I messed up a bit as this was supposed to be luminance but it's actually the red channel. I'm still getting used to the filter wheel! 50x10 sec subs with the gain set around 85. It needs more subs and some dark frames but it looks promising I think. I combined 3 shots for M42 (500ms, 1 sec and 10 secs) so as to capture the trapezium and core.

Is it a standard 0.5x reducer for webcams?
Did you try the f/3.3 reducer corrector?
