The turbulence was high, the Sun was low.

Astrosolar ND=5 + colorization.

The ROI helped. No Barlow, the images were too unstable.

3000 images stacked.

A really nice image capture despite some adverse conditions, well done.

I recently got a Mylar White Light Filter for my small 90mm MCS - I have never tried any solar observations before - it is interesting. I gave it a try on 22/01/14 with my ASI034 - the weather was a bit cloudy and the sun was low. Only managed a short video capture with a bit of a result - but seeing yours I'll have to keep trying. (below)

Considering the size of the sunspots, I think that you have a convenient f/d (and sampling) rate.

Is your mylar an astrosolar sheet? Your focusing seems to be correct; perhaps the turbulence was too strong.

Try to add a green or red filter to minimize the atmospheric differential refraction. And morning is better.

That's a good first result despite a "small" aperture. I look forward to see your next captures.

Thank you for your comments and tips - will try the filters. The scope filter is a Mylar filter made up cap that fits over scope end, from Astronomy365. Fits well and works OK but I am a novice at this.
