CEM120 meridian flip issues

I'm having issues with the meridian flip, as in: it doesn't happen.
Tech:
AsiAirPro, latest firmware, app version 1.9.2 - 9.97 (iOS)
Mount: iOptron CEM120 (no encoders)
Some clues:

automatic mount connect doesn't work, since it keeps trying baud rate 9600, while it should be 115200. This hasn't bothered me in the past, it's a 2-click fix.
When setting up an image session (autorun) it caclulates time-to meridian, for instance 2h15m. This is correct. I then proceed with the sequence, and after every sub, the "time-to-meridian" at the bottom of the screen resets to 2h15m in this example. So when it comes to flipping, it doesn't give the signal, since it believes it's not there yet.
The mount/handcontroller is set to stop at meridian. So after the asiair has tried to run past meridian, the mount has stopped. I cannot now get back into the mount from the asiair. I have to use the HC to slew to a spot before the meridian, disconnect & reconnect (see item 1.) the mount and then I can continue.
There are never autorun-logs, since I manually cancel the autorun, and then logs are not created (only on successful completion, apparently)
