When you say that ZWO's engineering team is composed of amateur astronomers, you're obviously right: fine, innovative equipment and gifted people!

5mn derotation for each color implies numerous images. What are your acquisition parameters?

the seeing is not very good and transparency is poor. so I only got 30fps at B an 40fps at G and 50fps at R. gain was 90.each 5 mins is very long.

I plan to capture L in my next capture. 5min L 1min R 1min G 1min B. maybe this is better.

here is the best image I achieved last year. LRGB is a good way to capture

Superb images and convincing test.

My parameters are quite different: gain 55-65% and by far less images (max 70s each color, no luminance). Less gain, less noise, no derotation, and a simple, final RGB derotation.

But obvioulsy you're right, since your images are greatly detailed and noiseless.

Unfortunately France is actually prone to storms with up to 120 km/h winds last week (like jupiter, but at a smaller scale).

Those are excellent. :) Another possibility is to use a long pass red filter (say Baader 602) as luminence to help cut through the seeing.
