Sky Watcher Star Discovery 150p (Newton 150/750) + ZWO ASI 585MC?

Hello everybody,
Im new in the astro sandbox therefore im not sure if it will be ok combination. I got this newtonian alt-az 150/750 telescope with goto and i wanna add camera to it. After reading forums and watching youtube it looks like new ZWO ASI 585MC is very interesting option both for dso and planets. But i also read that there are some problems with prime focus in my telescope. Will the nose peace from the camera set do the job or do i need some extra gear like ZWO helical focuser to achieve proper focus with 585 ? And is it a good idea to buy this camera to my aperture.

Just ordered ZWO 585mc at my polish dealer anyway as i noticed they are hard to get atm around the world 🙂 I hope im gonna be happy and focusing will go smooth and with no problem 😛 Thank you for your replies 🙂)))))))))))::::

aGent Sorry for the dealy and thank you for your support.
Usually, you can get focus after connecting them via the 1.25 nosepiece, you also can pull out the nosepiece a little bit to try if you can't get focus.

Hi @Tech@ZWO quick questions about the video resolution and ADC Bits for the 585MC. In the documentation, it shows FPS for video resolution as shown in the table below (copied for the documentation).

Two questions please:
1) How do I configure 12/10 bit and/or raw8/16? I don't see that anywhere in the ASIAIR app.
2) When in video mode, controlled via the ASIAIR, the max resolution is 1920x1080, I don't see 3840x2160

You can set it in the software,
For example, in ASIStudio, you can choose raw8 or raw16 in Format,

Click here to get more settings, when you check 'Higspeed', it is 10bit, otherwise it is 12bit.

BTW, CAN'T settings this in the ASIAIR, default 12bit and raw8.

The maximue resolution in ASIAIR is 1080P.

Just so I’m clear, if I first set it in the ‘software’, will those setting be maintained when I use the ASIAIR for the shoot, or is there a hard limit in the ASIAIR? If there is a hard limit, I then need to use the ‘software’ to shoot at higher resolution? Thank you…
