OK I think the silver adapter that comes with the carbon tripod is called a head plate. It’s one of these that I need but I don’t want to buy the tripod as I am using my Celestron AVX tripod but I can’t attach the am5 to my 160 pier unless I have one of these head plates. I submitted a ticket ordering one head plate but have not had any feed back from zwo. Will someone from ZWO please get back to me as to both the cost of the head plate as well as receiving my order.
