Mounting the ASiair to the scope is the best way to go because all camera, focuser, filter wheel, and dew heater cables that connect the two aren't subject to any possible snagging or wrapping when the mount slews (or does a meridian flip). When wired this way, only the power cable to the ASiair and the power cable from the ASIair to the mount (if present) need to be managed against snagging and wrapping hazards.
