Can I screw my Asi2600mc pro to the 2" filter wheel (5 or 7 filters) directly WITHOUT the tilt adapter to save the 5mm light path?

osastro absolutely, that is actually the suggested way when dealing with 2400/2600/6200 series and the 2"/36 mm filter wheels (36 mm has to be the newer revision with screw holes).
