ASI120MC USB2 not recognised, wrong USB ID

New to me camera, which looks new and unused fully boxed with all cables and accessories, previous owner reported he couldn't get it to load on Windows. I have tried loading all latest drivers etc but also cannot get it recognised, tried three different PC's, reports unknown device in device manager. Because of this cannot load the compatibility firmware. USB hardware ID show VID_04B4 PID_8613 which I believe is incorrect and actually relates to the manufacturer of the microprocessor chip Cypress. So it seems the ZWO firmware is missing or corrupted. Is there any way to restore the correct firmware. Yes I know its a few years old but only discontinued in 2019 so should still work with Win 10. Any help would be much appreciated, I have already tried different cables but I suspect unless I can somehow load a firmware it never going to work.

Do you mean the ASI120MC USB2.0 camera?
It has been discontinued for a long time and may have problem when matched with some new computer.
You may refer to this guide to update the driver and install the firmware to try.

Thanks, I have made some progress, the Firmware Updater now recognises a connected device and show BootLoader, unfortunately when trying to select the correct USB2 file the updater will only look for .img files and won't show or allow to select the .iic files in the USB2 folder. I can see the correct compatibility file if I navigate to the folder in windows explorer. How do I get the .iic file to be selectable?

Just like to say thank you to the Tech support for resolving this issue. I am very impressed with the effort put into resolving this matter for what is a pretty old camera. I can confirm that the camera works in Windows 11 using both USB2 and USB3 ports although better frame rates with the latter. Also get much better frame rates with Sharpcap 3.2 compared to newer versions and works fine with newest version of PHD2 but only with the Direct show driver, (under Windows WDM camera).
