ASIair Plus quit at -1C

The specs are 0C to 40C. I checked it later in my garage and it was fine. I also checked that the LI battery that I used to power it was producing 12vDC. Given that I live in a colder climate (Canada), greater tolerance of low temperatures would be appreciated. For most of Canada that operating range will stop its usage in winter. I may try a dew heater on a cold night. FYI, my telescope mounts usually have a -10C to 40C range.

Sorry to hear that. I have a trip coming up, where temp would come down to Minus 5 to Minus 10.
Hope the ASI Air PRO works somehow. Or looks like will have to put a dew heater around it also.
With 3 dew heaters, one each for ASI, Main Lens, Guide Scope, wonder how long my power batt will last.
For a product that would be used internationally, and specially higher the altitude the better, the specs should have been at least down to Minus 10 deg C.

Last winter my ASIair Pro failed at -10C. My cheap and easy solution was to make a sweater for my unit. I got some fuzzy yarn from my wife and wrapped it around the unit. I've since been able to run all the way down to -30C (Gotta love Montana winters). Last night my ASIair Plus worked down to -16C with the same sweater solution. The insulation retains the heat generated by the internal electronics enough to keep it running. The CPU was -9C during this time. Almost zero cost and no power requirements.
