Hi,
this was requested several times I believe, but I think it is a must-have in any serious automated sequencing efforts: Being able to automatically shoot several targets within a plan with given start/end times.
As of today, if multiple targets are planned per night within a plan, ASIAIR will start the second target only after completion of the frame count of the preceding target, not by time. This has its use cases of course, but most of the time the situation is like this:
Target A becomes visible at a certain time during the night. To bridge the time until it rises one shoots target B.
Now, if automation shall take over one has to work out how many frames on target B shall be done so the frames will finish once the rise-time of target A is reached. If an issue occurs within this target B progress (longer AF times etc.), ASIAIR will not start shooting target A at the desired (i.e. calculated time) but only if all frames of target B finish.
This is not useful at all. We need an option to choose analogous to the plan time settings:
TARGET 1 (first target in plan)
Start:
- inherits start from PLAN START TIME
TARGET 2 (last target in plan in this example)
Start options:
- after finish of TARGET 1
- at hh:mm:ss (TARGET 1 will be aborted at that time)
End times need not to be defined as they are basically set by the start condition of the following target.
