The only thing that changed in the special OS for the EQ6 with USB is the addition of the kernel module for the Prolific chipset, otherwise it's the same as the stock version of the OS for the Pro. As soon as you connect with your mobile device running the ASIAir app, it will update it with that version of the 'firmware'. Whether you start with the stock or special OS versions, after the firmware update it will be essentially the same in terms of how it behaves - except for the USB connection to the EQ6 of course.
