Hello,
I connected 2 dew heating strips for the main refractor and the guide scope (Primaluce 50mm and 100mm) and connected each of them using an RCA to DC5521 to 2 power ports on the ASAIR Plus. But neither dew heater got the slightest bit warm. I double checked to make sure the ports were turned on and knew that dew heaters were connected, and set the power to around 80%.
At the end of the evening I pulled off the dew strips from the scopes and they were both emitting no warmth whatsoever. I have no idea whether both dew strips failed, whether I did something wrong, or whether the ASIAIR Plus wasn't supplying power. Otherwise the ASIAIR was operating fine in regards to polar alignment, guiding, tracking, imaging and downloading. I wonder if it's the cables??
UPDATE: I tested the dew heaters last night with ASIAIR without the ASI2600MC drawing power and they worked fine, generating quite a bit of heat. I am wondering if the ASIAIR Plus, with the camera drawing power, is not able to sufficiently heat the dew strips. I guess I could power the camera directly from my portable battery if needed...
