compatability with Orion narrow OAG

Hi all

I am wanting to use ASI120mm for Off Axis Guiding on a Newtonian. With the shorter focuser range on newtonians I need to keep the imaging train as short as possible so the Orion narrow OAG fits the bill. It was designed to use the Orion starshoot guider camers though it says it suits other cameras also. Unlike many OAG's this unit has no focusing device. The guide camera has to be screwed onto the OAG (which looks like a 1.25 inch diameter thread) Has anyone got the ASI120mm to work with this? Is the distance to the sensor the same for the starshoot and ASI120mm?

I am not sure of this.

but I think focus adjust is needed for every OAG

You need a 5mm extension ring and it will work!

Here is my setup.

Celestron OAG, Orion G3 and ZWO all in focus.

I added a 1/2 inch spacer to the bottom of the ZWO and a parafocal ring for the focus point. A 6mm ring might make it just perfect.
