Canon EOS R6 Mark II support please!

Spent the past year loving my ASI and R6. Bought the new R6 Mark II.....woops....isn't supported....rendered my ASI setup useless. Help! Please support the Canon R6 Mark II!! Would be happy to beta test.

Any update on this camera being supported? Just got my AA+ and AM3 this week and will be patiently waiting. For now, I am stuck with an intervalometer on top of my camera and my AM3 is an expensive Startracker. Thank you for your hard work.

I can confirm that version 2.1.2 released in March 2024 works well with the Canon R6 Mark ii. Very easy to use, just connect a USB-A to the ASIAIR then a USB-C connected to the R6Mii. When You open the app, the R6 will show up as the only option for the main camera, select it! On the set up screens for your RX, set it up in B for bulb, make sure you’re set for raw images, not raw plus JPEG.

What I found was that in the preview mode, you can only set up exposures up to 30 seconds. But when you go to plan mode, you’ll be able to set up targets with exposures of however many minutes you want.

I'm having a couple of problems with my R6 Mk II, the first of which has really been a bear:

The actual images should be 6000x4000 px, but everything from the ASIAIR Plus is 6188x4120. It looks like the ASIAIR adds a black border on two sides and a thin white border on the third:

In my searching around the internet, it looks like this might be related to bug report BT20250107862898A, but I don't have Facebook so I can't tell for sure.

My second problem is the auto exposure for taking flats fails immediately no matter what I try.

Have you found a way around either of these problems? Thanks for your time!

I have made a few steps forward in understanding this, I think the bands are sensor overscan regions, and if they are visible, it is because the RAW processor doesn't know how to deal with them:

And, it looks like LibRaw supports the R6 mk II as of the 202403 snapshot, but might require compiling options:

In summary, it looks like an update on the ASIAIR side is likely required to make things usable.
