ADC vs DR Stops

Would you elaborate more on how DR Stops are determined? When I attempt to calculate the ASI6200 read noise using bias frames I'm able to match your published read noise values when I use the "effective number of bits" rather than the ADC number of bits. What's going on? -Jesse

Okay, I thought about it a little more and DR Stops looks close to the log2 of the dynamic range. For the ASI6200 log2(28571) = 14.8 (BIN2) but at BIN1 log2(14571) = 13.8 where your ASI6200 vs KAI11002 table has 14 bits. Close enough?

Following up again, where's the DR coming from? For the ASI6200 I get 14571 in the table by dividing the FW 51ke by the 3.5e read noise, but 20log10(14571) = 83db and your table has 80db. For BIN2 20log10(28571) = 89db and the table has 86db so it seems you're subtracting 3db for some reason?
