After doing some research on network traffic exchanged by ASIAIR and the ASIAIR app I was finally able to fetch some very useful details regarding equipment, controls and ongoing imaging sessions - such as telescope control, PHD guiding, exposure…
Having this information available, I was able to send it to a local MQTT broker where I can subscribe other useful software such as Node Red to send out push messages for certain events (lost guide star, failed plate solve, HFR threshold…) to my mobile, watch, mail account, sms, pushover…
I am fully aware this solution may be subject to be changed/removed at any time from ZWO with an update and - more important - there is no guarantee this may not impact the functionality of ASIAIR. Still I think it might be a very useful to quite a few ASIAIR users running imaging sessions for several hours without having the APP open all the time.
Still I would like to present this concept hoping ZWO may consider this to build into the official firmware?!
